After several years at Ballagyr, the Cronk y Voddy horse ploughing match which has included the Horse Ploughing Championships, moved to Ballaspit, St Johns for this year’s event, by kind permission of #Gordon_Clague. The site which was in the shadow of Slieau Whallian proved a good challenge for the ploughmen.

#Gordon_Clague, from Glenmaye was the winner in the horse ploughing, with #Nicola_Rawnsley second and #Samantha_Crellin in third.

The winner of the best butt on the field was #John_Dobson who was ploughing in the Manx Style class. Second in this class was #Billy_Cormode, with #David_CorlettĀ  third.

#Tony_Collister took first place in the Vintage class, ahead of #Alan_Radcliffe and #Jimmy_Corlett, in second and third places respectively. #Ciaran_Cain won the prize for the youngest competitor

In the World Style class, #Colin_Duggan was first, with #Gordon_Kennaugh in second, #Stephen_Ennett, in third and #Steven_Lace fourth.
